Yep... I know I'm a noob, and I made the tank drop down the lift shaft (and die) ... without hurting any survivors...

But bloody hell.. playing as a hunter / boomer / smoker is such hard work

I think someone with my limited skills needs to be the witch!

lol, but if people do the smart thing and just avoid you, it shall a long and weepy game for you

I personally love it, actually prefer it to survivor a bit. Love the boomer so satisfying getting all 4 and watching the carnage afterwards. Hate smoker, can only really work well if all other survivors are very occupied, say by a tank, or if a boomer helps you out, apart from that, gay! Dont mind the hunter, sometimes hate it, sometimes love it. Realised tonight, don't always pounce, the hunters melee does more damage than you might think. Why pounce a survivor that's right next to everyone to just get killed instantly when you can ambush them and go in claws flailing. I can normally get 3-4 hits in when you ambush well, and that will take a survivor down to about 1/2 health. Plus, you cant be seen by the other survivors (unlike if you pounced on someone) if you're nailing someone trailing behind

I think Smoker needs a buff of some sort, definitely agree with LtMama on the infected. Think you were unlucky tonight John - you were in all the right places but sometimes the teams don't quite work right.

Smoker is very ineffective alone, although there's a lot to be said for using obstacles to start constricting early. If you don't have to pull them halfway across the map you've got more time for t'killing.

You're not alone John. I did exactly the same thing with the tank. In retrospect I should have just waited and lost control of the tank instead of leaping to my death out of frustration
I prefer infected at the mo because there's not so much pressure and some people can take it a bit too serious on occasions.

You did manage to injure someone before dropping down the shaft though mate

I think part of the frustration was how well the survivors stuck together actually - definitely makes it much harder to kill / take anyone down.

Playing infected just takes a little practice and LOTS of patience. Patience in the sense of waiting to attack - 1 infected vs 4 survivors is always going to lose. Coordinating is tricky though as the impulse is to run in and attack.

I've gone from where you are John with the Infected - hard and frustrating - to loving them in a week. It is hard but the satisfaction of actually making a kill or racking a great Boomer score is worth it. In a month we'll see solid, co-ordinated teamplay develop.

But, for my money, the experience would improve if:-

1) You scored for a hit every time (ie. you can Boom, Tongue or leap successfully but still score zero)
2) The Boomer's puke attack fired as quickly as the survivor's gun (they always, always beat you to the draw); this would improve enormously Boomer hit rate and make sneak attacks so much more fun.

If you really want to get a lot more fun out of it, master the Hunter's leap. There is nothing better than successful huge leaps off roofs (or up to rooftops in the Hospital finale).

I made the HUGE mistake of trying to jump away from the tank which resulted in giving his punch that extra lift needed to send me into orbit!  Was so funny I didn't mind
