The options for server capacity were a bit strange...24 or 30+ - means we wouldn't show up in either list! Same for the respawn times (oh yeah...we have (or had) quicker respawns).

Only 9 non-crit servers showed up for me. 344 servers which were 'roughly' similar to Server #1.

I can see a lot of people who we might see as our demographic using QP and selecting

community server
crits disabled
24 players
default spawn time (though maybe don't care)

Very easy

Edit: choosing any game mode. It is bad news for custom maps and is heading towards standardising the TF2 experience but in Valve's eyes that probably is no bad thing.

Interesting.

We ended up having quite a busy night.

19 new people who I assume connected to us via the browser but also a load of returnees who either had us in their favourites or were members of the Community Group. Quite a few were friends of friends of regs. From this I reckon we are managing to start to build up a valid community.

We did no worse (in fact better) than some of the comparable servers who were on Quickplay.

So, we can probably risk keeping Server 1 as is but definately going no-crits and no damagespread. No damagespread is not an option for QP. We can also stick some custom maps on; the ones we voted for before should be on the server already?

Then shift Server 2 to standard QP no-crit as a fail-safe especially if we can transfer the QP token.
