Here we talk about games that we probably should have played, but havn't because:
- You weren't into games like that at the time (e.g. not playing an FPS because you were an RTS demon)
- You never heard about it at the time but it then turned out to be a classic
- The game never appealed to you but turned out to be HUGE

Why didn't you play them? Why have you still not played them?

Here are some of mine to start us off:
Deus Ex - never really heard about it, and when I finally bought it it didn't work on my PC at the time. I then bought it on steam and it was way too dated for me to play it and despite starting it twice, never played it for more than an hour or so.
Starcraft Brood War - I was a C&C guy, what can I say?
Diablo - don't think I really heard about it at the time it was around, I also tend to be put off by games with demons / dungeons because I'll get scared

Original Half Life. Had a messed up copy that crashed a couple of hours in, and never got round to replaying it. Loved HL2 and the expansion episodes. I guess i should play the source version but have a million other things to play first (Installed DE3 at i43 and not played it yet, got RAGE downloaded for a few weeks now and not installed)

The Elder Scrolls games, Baldurs gate, Fallout3. sunk quite a few hours into these but ultimately got bored and dropped them well before the end of the story. Maybe i'm not cut out for open worlds.

Modern Warfare 2 - loved the shit out of the single player in Modern Warfare 1, but MW2 never grabbed me, it crashed at some point shortly after the first level and I never picked it up again. Did a fair amount of MP though.

Knuckles' Chaotix. That was a cooperative Sonic game (with Knuckles and the Chaotix dude instead of Sonic and Tails). Sadly it required the 32X addon for the megadrive which was waaaaay too expensive.

Also Marvel vs Capcom 3 because I don't have a console and I have to fix that because there's PHOENIX WRIGHT in UMvC3

I know it was a good game, but I was too caught up in tfc !!

you didn't miss much there e90 not unless you like bunny hopping, perfectly aimed nade spam, and shooting through walls. Also split second headshots.

I need to go back and finish a bunch of rpgs, but the problem with rpgs is the new ones are always bigger & therefore better, and generally I get stuck/annoyied/find out planescape was ported to the better bg2 engine/miss a big quest and just rage quit my whole playthrough. The reviews of skyrim said it was good so I got it, but i've still not finished, BG1, PS:T, DA:O, ES:3, ES:4, F3, VTM:B, ME1. The only ones recently I made it to the end were Risen (very good yet small enough for me to happily 100% and finish them game), and Fallout: New Vegas, which was compacted enough for easily reaching everywhere and doing everything (need to play again and do dlc). When I was young and crazy and spent even more time gaming I finished BG2, and fallout 1 + 2 for some insane reason, too impatient for turn based now.
