I think me versus Teatime and egg will have to agree to disagree, although I will state while it appears it is more in favour of the companies, that's only because this kind of thing rarely goes to court.

I'd post more (I had in fact typed a lot) but I see we're on different wavelengths.

I'm against a discriminatory ban-based system with no form of appeal (especially when money is involved and the ban is perpetual and overlaps more then one game), while you two seem to be on about VAC being a necessary thing to ban cheaters. Two basically completely different things!

I don't disagree entirely. My main points are that all ac systems ban ur multiplay access. There's nothing different bout valve

However I agree the problem with valve is that screw all ur games over not just the one that was hacked

But keep the tone in this thread down please. I didn't regard Egg's post as abusive tbh.

He is entitled to his opinion and calling it "preposterous rubbish" is not the level of debate I want around here.

Our legal / penal system has its ups and downs - but this forum is also not the right place for this debate I feel. Whilst I have sympathy with many views expressed on our forum you can find any number of examples to argue that it is too hard or too soft. Either way, I think 3rd party sites or contacting your MP are the way to go with this.

Same goes with the opinion on Valve and VAC. We've given this thread a fair run I think, lots of opinion and counter opinion. Enough for now at least.
