Just spent 3 hours getting rid of this evil virus pretending to be an antivirus program.  AVG didn't protect against it nor did Spybot.  It loads onto your PC through a security flaw in Adobe Reader and refuses to let any programs run.

Fortunately it doesn't load immediately windows starts and it can then be shut down using task manager and then cleaned out the system.

Malware bytes saved me having to do a complet wipe and reinstall on a family members PC. All kinds of good.

Malwarebytes failed, kept being shut down half way through the scan, then I loaded Microsoft Security Essentials and it caught it straight away.

Thanks to Power for that recommendation in another thread.

Edit: Uninstalled and reinstalled Malwarebytes, it has now picked up lots of baaad stuff.

You just need to wipe down your keyboard and monitor from all the bodily fluids and your PC will now be squeaky clean Wink
