So, is there something like a mappack with everything acceptable good in it out there? Kinda sucks you have to close l4d, download stuff, install it and try to find the server again each time you try to join something

No not really, I've been playing on the nubserver and the maps they have on their server are available from this link (to the nubs forum): http://www.tf2nubs.co.uk/index.php?topic=2482.msg30508#msg30508From there you can download the maps. The problem is that some of the maps are huge, whereas some are only a few mb's.

I recommend Dam It as a reasonably polished coop map.
Don't really care for survival mode much.

I've heard Dam is good. I need to play a few good custom ones, revitalise my interesting in the game perhaps.

The first three levels of back to school that I rocked with Disco and some of the other NUB fellas was pretty groovy. Felt myself liking l4d more than I had before.

What do we need to do? Just add new maps?

upload the vpks to addons directory, run update_addon_paths and mission_reload in console. and you don't have to close l4d cow you can install packs whilst alt-tabbed.

Don't worry guys, biting the bullet and working through disco's list once pretty much has solved the problem
