To break back in on that discussion: The reason for absence of a word for fluffy is the existence of a plethora of adjectives describing the different kinds of fluffyness (cf.
this dictionary entry). Nevertheless, what we do lack, is a word for general, all-encompassing fluffity. Hence we cunningly borrowed your word, and just call it "fluffig" (which, nevertheless, might sound weird when used in a translation).
