I like tractor's.

I have these
1957 fordson major, she is called bessie, and I am restoring her, currently she has had new simms pum, injectors rad to put on, inlet manifold and exghsaust system. plenty more to do yet, clutch brakes, steering, and the rest of the hydrolics.

and here is my little massey ferguson 135, made completly from wood, its about half size and runs off of a mobility scooter, its mint. great for getting water when working with traction engines.

Plenty more to do!

I know it's not tractors, but I've always been interested in the restoration of old railway carriages, particularly London Transport ones.

This is local to me

http://www.walthamstowpumphousemuseum.org.uk/

I've visited but never quite got round to getting myself involved. Yet.

The tractor you're restoring - it looks very similar to a run-down tractor at the yard where my mum kept her horse. I had grand dreams of trying to resurrect it and get it running again!

I know an old pumping station in leicester, people there are great always welcoming, got 4 beam engines there, great place for a visit. Right next to the space centre, Played about on the steam roller they have there.

Mine was a right job, managed to get it running late last year, and ran out of funds straight after, but I only have 1 of the 2 inlet pipes on, so the diaphragm sticks open, 100% revs with no air intake to restrict it is never a nice feeling. But as my mum and dad say, it keeps me off the streets, unfortunately our garden looks a heck of a lot like a scrap yard, 2 rusty tractors a plough, half a cultivator, trailer for road runs (yes it does fit through a drive through at mc donalds), cab for mine, old loading arms of mine, and a landrover discovery with no engine. And when we shuffle stuff, it looks like a mud pit.

When mine is done it should look like this.

Can't do green, just wouldn't look right on a major, have considered mat/blackboard paint then mess about with chalk.

Well rusty farm equipment has it's interest but doesn't totally do it for me. It's really got to be London Underground rolling stock

For me it't not about the rust, it's all about the power, all 33hp it'll have. Hopefully I can get my friends one finished soon, got a 6 cylinder turbo charged engine, runs like a beast, then got a new filter to put on, extra air=more revs, and maybe just maybe a kerosene tank attached to the front, for that little extra boost. Hopefully we can get it to run like redline frenzy or G force.
