We still need to think about Server 2 as it sits there gathering dust (and costing money!)
We've had some more discussion in the members section. The whole community has already talked about some options...putting server 2 on Quickplay, with or without no crits
However, I think trying to fill that server ourselves wouldn't necessarily be productive; it would be confusing for regs and would potentially split our audience. I think we're best off focussing on Server 1 which is enough work in itself.
And would it fill itself? No. The only servers that seem to do that are Valve servers on Quickplay. Quickplay traffic to community servers has plummetted since the changes...according to some server owners with the traffic monitoring plugin, from 30% to about 3%. People using Quickplay don't bother to change the filters.
So we could scrap Server 2 completely. No-one wanted to do that. So instead we decided to turn it into a My Little Pony Server. The MLP community is large. I don't think there are any servers in Europe so there are many potential players who will actively seek out servers. I found various mods we could use here
http://www.mlptf2mods.com/It may also help us attract a younger audience (maybe eventually to server 1 too, though I see perhaps Server 2 becoming the main WDG community server). In addition, instaspawn servers are popular and Dustbowl is a popular map. There is also a shortage of 100% crit servers. These are also things that we could consider.
