I'm not sure if I'm reading this correctly, so why don't you tell me how fast this connection of mine is aledgedly...  I think it's trying to claim that I have a 2,685 meg connection. I suspect that the BT speed tester is buggered  |

I find speedtest.net to be pretty bloated, and the severs are quite often overloaded so you get a false reading. BBmax loads in seconds and always has tons of bandwidth.

I just use that site as BT have a hard on for it. The 3 hour betwween testing is a bit of a pain. I've been using the "thinkbroadband" speed tester for a while, just because I've been logging my results there for nearly 9 months now. I'm currently getting a more realistic speed of 1.3 to 1.5 meg. I've got to do the usual E-mail to BT to remind them that I pay for the service. They can then do what ever it is they do to the local exchange to get the speed back over 5.5 meg. I was just astounded to get such a rediculsly high read off the BT endorsed site |

Never had any issues myself with speedtest.net..... oh well each to there own...  they're both decent enough  |

both seem fine and gave me similar results. but i quite like the pingtest on the speedtest.net website as it gives a good indication of the quality of the line which i very much approve of.
