The Intel ones are integrated chips, so no surprise there really Smiley

When Intel get serious about graphics we'll soon know. Its why Nvidia are having a few spats with Intel just now.. they know that they've got some competition coming!

AMD are planning their own versions I am sure. I am not sure about Larrabee, I'll check out a presentation on it next week and report back.

Last i heard about Larrabee is it's on par with the current cards out when running DirectX stuff - faster if it runs stuff coded natively for it since it translates DirectX, but I don't see many devs putting the effort into coding an extra engine without some serious greasing from Intel.
However it's not out until 1H 2010 (hardware is fine, but they are still trying to sort drivers out) and there will be the new DX11 cards out from both ATi and nVidia by then, which will likely put it to shame.
It's a very scalable architechture though, so if they want to be on top they probably can thanks to being the leaders in fab tech, they can put more transistors in for a lower cost, but i believe they are saving 32nm for their cpu's and sticking with 40nm for Larrabee, which means no advantage there.

I'm thinking they are going to want to compete in the mainstream segment, but it's going to be difficult breaking in without a top end card to give a "halo" effect. Bang for buck is going to come down to how well their drivers team does.

I'm interested in whats going to happen with regards to ray tracing in the future, can't beat it for visual quality and it's easier for devs to work with.
