Alright guys
i'm trying to get hold of a video screen capture program to record a few demos of this audio plugin i've been working on for a presentation.
Problem i'm having is trying to find a free or trial version that doesn't place a huge watermark over the video and also actually records audio, which for an audio plugin demo is pretty important.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Don't think they do snagit for Mac though.
Looking at something called jing right now but unsure as to whether it does audio.

you didnt say mac Read the thread title And on a more serious note - I should think most screen recording programs would do audio as well (you might need to play around with your soundcard/options to get the stereo mix (i.e. what you hear) to register as an input. I use camtasia for work (dunno if it works on mac's though) and that does audio etc.

the most promising one so far has been screenium, seems fully featured for a trial but even after about half an hour of fiddling with audio settings my recordings are still coming up silent.
guess i'll just play with that some more

Why not use one with a watermark for the capturing and take it out with iMovie?
Meaning capture more of the screen than you want and take out the bit you dont with the watermark later

Found a solution, seems part of my problem was that i was recording the audio from an audio plugin so had to reset the output device of the Audio unit program and used something called "soundflower" to route the ouput from the plugin to the input of the capture program "screenium"
and roberts your fathers brother
