I work for a double glazing company running the trade counter where I have worked for the last 2 years.  About 5 years ago my boss decided it would be a good idea to start manufacturing his own frames and teamed up with one of his acquaintances, a former surveyor from a company that had just gone bust, they started the factory and my boss totally failed to get anything in writing apart from the initial company start up document.

Roll on 3 years and the factory is doing well, despite a cavalier attitude to customer service so both companies move to new, much larger premises and things start to go bad, we are gradually forced out of shared areas and my boss was refused access to the factory accounts and in November last year we were given 2 weeks notice to get out.  Cue a visit to the solicitors, a court order against the guy running the factory and lengthy (and expensive) legal proceedings which eventually ended at 11:00am today.

We won (yay!) and none of the factory staff had a clue about what was going on.  It feels so different now we can talk in the corridors and talk about business openly without worrying about who listening or, scarily watching on some half hidden CCTV camera.

On the downside we have no clue of what orders are going through the factory or even how to use the Window Design software.  The shit will well and truly hit the fan next week no doubt and I will be in the firing line.
